From Worry to Thanksgiving

In a nation of great abundance, why do we worry? Jesus and Paul teach us how to focus more on God the Provider so can let go of our worries and live peacefully and thankfully in the moment.

Happy Birthday to Us!

Today we celebrate Pentecost, the day the church was born with the fulfilled promise of Jesus that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given to us to move us outward into our community in mission to bless, serve, love our neighbors and to share with them our faith in Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

The Choice is Yours

Moses at the end of his ministry with God’s people called them to renew their promises to God before moving into the promised land. We too are challenged by God to renew our promises to Him everyday.

Reformation Sunday

We celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation by exploring the 5 major themes of the Reformers.

The Prodigal Farmer

The Parable of the Sower teaches us to trust God for the harvest in midst of sowing much seed for the kingdom.

The stories behind the Carols

The carols are mini-sermons that are inspired by the scriptures and which give their own understandings of the meaning of Christ’s birth. This year we focus on “What child is this?”, “God rest ye merry, gentlemen” and “O Come all ye faithful.”

A Creation that points to a Creator

This sermon is a followup to the film “Living Waters” (by Illustra Media) that was shown on Friday Oct 30 that points to “Intelligent Design” or the hands of a Creator in the creation. Our response to our Creator is to living in harmony with Him, others, and the larger creation.
