We live in unjust world and that is an unchangeable reality we live with. So what do we do in light of this as the followers of Christ? We don’t abandon our faith.
We trust God’s presence with us because Christ has entered our world. We join forces with God in combating the destruction forces in our world by helping the hurting people we encounter.

The teacher of the Book of Ecclesiastes reflects on the values of working together. Jesus pairs up the disciples to carry out his work as a model for us in our time.

We hear wise words of wisdom in how to deal with adversity first from the Preacher of Ecclesiastes and then from Paul and James.

Jesus invites us to find our identity in him and find our purpose in being yoked or united to his desires for our lives and world.

As citizens of the Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world, Peter and Psalm guide our prayers for those in authority.

In Exile, God’s call to us is live and thrive, carrying on the traditions and teachings of Christ, praying and seeking the best of the communities where we are in this time and place.

Jesus sends us out to fulfil his mission with specific instructions.

On this Labour Day weekend we focus on a Biblical understanding of work.

Paul encourages us to participate in the ministry of the church by
1) Praying for Opportunities for God’s word to be heard
2) To wisely before outsiders as to attract them to Christ.
3) To season our conversations with grace.
